How ZeroHook Uses Cookies
We use cookies to operate the Services, keep you signed in, store preferences, and (with consent) understand how visitors use our website. We also keep cookieless pageview totals that do not set a tracking cookie. Cookie categories:

They are used to keep you signed in, store essential preferences (such as theme or locale), detect and prevent fraudulent or malicious activity, and display the correct information associated with your account. This also includes cookies set by Google reCAPTCHA v3, which runs invisibly in the background to protect our platform from automated abuse. These cookies cannot be disabled without affecting the core functionality of the platform. |
| Analytics | With your consent, we use PostHog to understand how visitors interact with our website (for example pages visited, session duration, and traffic sources). This data is used to improve the Services. PostHog is configured to use EU servers (eu.i.posthog.com). If you decline analytics, PostHog continues to measure traffic in cookieless mode: no cookie or local storage is used, no profile is built, and no session recording takes place. Visitor counts are then derived from a hash calculated on PostHog’s servers using a salt that rotates daily and is deleted afterwards, so the value cannot be traced back to you. You can change your choice at any time via the cookie settings banner on our website. |
| Cookieless counts | Independently of the banner, we record first-party, cookieless pageview totals: the page path, a country code from Cloudflare, the referring site hostname when it is external, and which cookie choice was in effect (no decision, necessary only, or analytics accepted). We do not store IP addresses or set a tracking cookie for this. Unique-visitor numbers are a daily estimate from a short-lived hash that is not written to the database. This is aggregated audience measurement, not a replacement for PostHog. |
| Marketing | Our consent banner lets you accept or reject a marketing preference. We do not currently load third-party advertising or remarketing pixels. If we introduce marketing cookies in the future, we will update this policy and only use them when you have granted marketing consent. |
